The law of attraction is a concept that has been around for many centuries. Since mankind past the stage of ‘simply surviving’, philosophy was developed and experts found that we can actually control our own lives with our power of mind. The concept of ‘we are what we think’ is a belief taught in many religions too. The basic ideas have not changed but what is different is the name and the latest popular terms used to describe this philosophy are “Positive Thinking” and “The Law of Attraction”.

If you are wondering whether this concept is a fact or myth, then think of the numerous stories you have read or heard about natural disaster victims who had succeeded in staying alive despite the harsh conditions. There had been cases of earthquake victims who remained alive despite being buried under rubble of buildings for over a week and victims of tsunami who floated at seas for almost a fortnight without food or water and yet they survived!

Just how did they do it? Using their power of mind of course! Imagine yourself in such harsh conditions; would anyone have survived without strong will power and determination? If the victims had been negative in thinking, would they have survived? I would think not so I choose to believe that the law of attraction is a fact, not a myth.

So what exactly is the law of attraction? It is a concept that teaches you to harbour only positive thoughts and believe that when you ask the universe for something that you dream of you will get it ultimately. The issue is that you must want it badly enough and keep telling your mind that you deserve the good thing. This is based on the idea that positive thinking will attract the positive energies from the universe so you will succeed in your goal if you remain positive in your outlook on life.

Having said so much, let’s now talk about what you can do to win in life through using the law of attraction? The first important thing to do is to control your thought process. As mentioned earlier, negative thoughts will only generate negative energies and likewise, harboring positive thoughts will ensure that you attract all the positive energies to help you succeed in life. If you focus your thoughts on your fear in failing, ultimately you will really fail because you are generating too much negative energies.

As such, you will need to train your mind to concentrate on the positive thoughts. Once you catch yourself thinking about failing, re-direct your mind to something more positive in life. I know that this is not going to be easy for many people as most people are worriers. However, you must remember that you are in control of your own mind. Thus, you have the choice of whether you allow your fear to gain control of you and turn you into its slave or you become the master and gain control of your thought process. You have the final say in which direction your thoughts take.

Therefore, remind yourself that you are the ‘master of your self’ and make use of the law of attraction to generate more positive energies so as to succeed in life. Tell yourself that you deserve a better life and do not allow any negative thoughts to enter your mind. Through your power of mind, you will soon find yourself accomplishing the goals you have set for yourself.
