“If only I have an extra hour everyday!” You lamented at the tons of job waiting to be done. Your time management is a mess and you think time is not on your side. But yet you are not prepared to complain about being overloaded to your superior and you think your colleagues would think low of you if you do so.

In addition, you have this fear of loosing your chance of getting promoted and even worst, your job. As such, you continue to bite the bullet and try in vain to complete those uncompleted projects even at the expense of your family and health. Now, is that what you want in life? Is that all about life? Is it worthwhile?

No, no and no! You are suffering because your beliefs are not appropriate. There is absolutely nothing wrong about having a job to feed your family or for yourself. And there is nothing wrong about your worry of loosing the sense of security. But you are wrong about biting off more than you can chew which in a way ruin your time management.

When you spend too much of your time in work, the time allocated for the rest like your family, health, hobby, friends, to mention just a few will naturally be lesser. What is unhealthy about spending less time on them is the high tendency of problems arising. Your spouse or kids may get distanced from you, your health may be affected, and your life may become dull without any hobby and friend.

So what can you do? Below are some simple tips to help you manage your time better.

1. Talk to your superior
You may not be aware but most likely your superior won’t know your problems. Being at a higher post, your superior has more responsibilities and job scope to manage, so he is not likely to take notice of what is happening to you. If your superior has a busy schedule, book an appointment with him or her to discuss about your work.

Never air your problems to your superior like a complaint. Emotions like frustration and anguish should not be brought into your discussion. Lay out your problems clearly so as to let him or her have a clearer picture. Make sure you put across to him or her that the overloaded works hinder your progression. If possible, suggest some solutions to your problems and make it clear that it will definitely raise your productivity if more breathing space is given.

2. The Power of Focus
Focus includes planning out your daily schedule. Work out what you have to be completed by the end of the day. Your schedule has to be realistic so that you can finishes your work of the day with quality and not haphazardly.

When focusing, try cutting out all interruption. I do understand that answering phone calls and emails are routine works and have to be done. Being routine works, these jobs can wait till you’ve completed the more important works on hand. When the focus is there, jobs can be completeled very easily. Just make use of your power of mind to stay on task!

3. Life is not all about security
Not all bosses are angels. What if your superior isn’t doing anything to help you? Are you going to continue biting the bullet? Why not take this period to contemplate about who you want to be in the future? Isn’t it a dream comes true if you could earn your living by working on something you love? May it be starting your own business, working from home or any other jobs which you’ve great interest in; you should take this golden opportunity to fulfill your dream. set your goals to make that dream come true.

Time management works well only when you have proper planning and good focus. And proper planning and good focus are possible only when you are not overloaded with too many projects on hand. Although multi-tasking is necessary in the modern world of business, to take on too many projects at a time can only lower your productivity.

Majority of the people have the problem when you ask them to stop thinking negatively. They just cannot defocus on what is making them feel bad. It may not the first time you are hearing this, but positive thinking is one of the key factors to achieving your goals. However, why are there so many people who knew the benefits of positive thinking still not getting the results they want? Well, it seems that they just couldn’t do it due to the inability to avoid the negative thoughts from invading the mind.

What you need is your mind power to stop all those negative thoughts. It may sound easy but to fight off those thoughts can be a challenge. To release that power in you, you need three simple tips mentioned below.

1. Shift Your Focus
The most obvious remedy to stop those negative thought is to change your focus to something else; something positive that make you feel good. It does sound easy, isn’t it? Well, I am sorry to say to this but to do it is a totally different story. There are just too many worries; your jobs, wealth, children, health, relationship, to name just a few.  When you start to focus on these worries which are negative, your mind will naturally switch to a depressing mode in no time.

What you need to do to stop that negativity is to adjust your focus immediately to something positive or something which give you the pleasure. You can focus on what you have right now that made you glad and delighted. You can also disrupt your negative thoughts by focusing on something you love doing.

I personally love reading, so most of time when negative thoughts arise; I’ll grab a book and start reading. You may like to jog, spend time with your children, listen to your favorite artist or whatever you love to do. Doing what you love makes you enjoy the process and hence stop those negative thoughts from arising in your mind.

2. Believe in Yourself
If you want to achieve what you want, you need to believe in yourself. You need to possess the self-confidence in you to make things different. There are many benefits in believing in yourself and one of these benefits is to shut out those negative thoughts.

When you feel good about yourself, you have that power of mind to solve all problems. When worries or problems arise, you will take them as challenges and you will want to solve them because solving them gives you a sense of satisfaction and make you feel even better about yourself.

3. Practice
Don’t think that you’ve failed just because you have been catching yourself thinking negatively for the past few hours. As a matter of fact, you are already doing great because you’ve learnt to identify the negative thoughts. What you need to do next requires a little longer time. You have to practice the skill of shifting your focus immediately as and when you catch yourself thinking negatively. Gradually, you will find your mind shifting focus to positive thinking very naturally. This is how strong your power of mind can be.

Are you someone who believes in your power of mind? If you are, wouldn’t you agree with me that you will be capable of fulfilling your dreams if you are able to make good use of your mind power? However, there are just too many skeptical people out there who think that “power of mind” is nothing but a tactic used by internet marketers to make money. And what is worse is that these people think that to achieve your dream through the subconscious is nonsense. As such, it is no wonder why there are so many unhappy people out there; they are not happy with their financial status, job, boss, partner or even life as a whole.

There is no point wasting your time and effort complaining to others about those “misfortunes” that befell on you. What is done cannot be undone. It will be wiser to do something about your life now.

First and foremost, you need to have a better understanding of what this mind power is. It is critical for you to believe the effectiveness of harnessing the mind power to achieve what you desire in life. After all, successful people who took themselves to such altitude believe in the power of mind to achieve what others perceive as impossible to attain. By the use of both your conscious and subconscious mind, you are actually creating a power force in you which can be so motivated for you to work your way through.

Make it clear to your mind what you want. And I mean “what you want” and not “what you do not want”. This is really critical. Create a vision so clear and a plan so detailed and constantly remind yourself of the dream you long to achieve. Soon, very soon, you are positioning this dream into your subconscious mind. Once this is done, you are actually starting to release the power of your mind to achieve your dream.

To better use your mind power, you will also need to focus. Focus on your goal, focus on your direction and focus all your resources, effort and time to accomplish your dream. Unfortunately, most people aren’t good at focusing and due to too many distractions out there. Life is not as simple as it seems, in fact life can be complicated. There are too many responsibilities and problems which can distract us and so, we ultimately resort to firefighting on a daily basis.

So, how to really focus? Personally, I think meditation is the best way to train your mind to focus. Take about just 10 to 20 minutes a day to meditate and you should able to see the progress. There are several meditation techniques and you can actually choose the way that suits you best. You can learn the techniques from books but best of all is to learn it from a master.

Mind power is naturally in you and you just need to unleash it. Without using your mind power, your chance of missing out the great things in life can be very high. Visualized your dream with clarity and concentrate on the route to your destination, you will be on your way to achieving what you long in life very soon.
